Phaser 7760 on Mac 10.8 not printing / trouble connecting to network

Hi all -

I recently upgraded to Mac 10.8 and a new Netgear N300 router. I can't get any of my Macs to connect to my Phaser 7760DN. I see the Phaser in my router panel, but I can't access the Phaser's IP in my browser (page won't load).

The Phaser has an IP of "192.168.33.10"

I've installed the latest drivers from the Xerox site.

When I try to print, I get the message ""Attempting to connect to host test-2984.local on port 9100" but the print request eventually times out.

I've tried Bonjour setup, and both IPP and LPD using the IP address.

This doesn't seem good. I'm hoping this is an easy fix - does anyone have suggestions?

Thank you so much!

Hey you!

If you connect the printer directly to your mac, can you access the printers browser?

Best Regards

Re: Phaser 7760 on Mac 10.8 not printing / trouble connecting to network

I can print if I connect directly to the Phaser through USB. But I still can't access the printer browser through the IP address in my browser - it just times out. The "Supply Levels" through the Print & Scan menu says "Information Not Available"

Printer has the same IP address 192.168.33.10

Network Mask 255.255.0.0

TCP/IP 192.168.33.1 Port 9100

LPD and IPP printers settings are ON

Is there another way to try to access the printer browser?

Or any ideas?

Re: Phaser 7760 on Mac 10.8 not printing / trouble connecting to network

Hi again!

What if you do not use the usb cable, and connect the mac and the printer with just one RJ45 (Network) Cable?

Can you access the web interface?

Or if you have a switch laying around, just try with that?

I believe you do have some issues with the access through the router.

Best Regards
