I only have two more suggestions before recommending that you schedule a service call with Xerox. Suggestion one - follow this link and type the same message in the search field that you typed in your last response about error codes. So, type in "Unload top output tray" without the quotes. The link is to the Phaser 7760 Knowledge Base and there are two results that show up when searching the message that you are seeing. Click the first result from the search and then you'll see the two things to try. Both results are simple to do and won't cost you anything but a couple of minutes. My only other suggestion would be to call Xerox and ask if a Technician can come out and downgrade your machine firmware to what it was before all of this started.
Yes, with all paper types. There is no error codes just "Unload Top Output Tray" message.
Hello zhulik,
I have a couple of questions for you...
Does your machine behave like this (jamming and blank prints) with all paper types and sizes or just with the heavy weight paper that you mentioned previously?
When your machine jams, do you see any fault code on the control panel? If so, what code(s) do you see?
You asked about downgrading your version of firmware - this can be done, but you need to have a Xerox Technician come to do it. (Only the current versions of firmware are available publicly.)
Jamming and blank prints with all settings. And Heavy Plain, which was our default settings from the beginning is the worst. Colored Paper setting is the least problematic but still is.

Click here to view the Recommended Media List for your Phaser 7760. This will show you the different Xerox papers that are supported and the proper paper type setting when running this paper in your machine. There is other information that you may find useful too. For the paper that you mentioned, you should set the paper type to "Heavy Plain" for those jobs which you found to be the best setting so keep using that setting. When your machine jams, do you see any fault code on the control panel? If so, what code(s) do you see? I'm trying all that I can before I recommend a service call!
Firmware Release PS 5.2.1. I wonder if there is a way to downgrade it to the previous version...
What version of firmware did you load onto your printer?
nope, i had the same issue today, 2 blank pages came out and it jammed in fuser.
Hi zhulik,
So, is your 7760 working better now that you have played around with the settings? I know that you are waiting for feedback from other users so post back when you can.
thanks for the reply John,
i did some testing with different types of media settings, it seems like it is printing fine with Colored Paper setting, no blank printouts, but it's constantly jamming at fuser. Previously we used Heavy Plain Paper setting which was most reliable. We alway use Xerox 3R11762 and 3R11760 28lb paper. I put it on Special Media Settings which looks ok for now but waiting for more prints from users to see if it jams or not.
It's a network printer and files are mostly produced by Adobe applications: pdf, ai, psd
