Can't hurt to contact HP
HI friends
I bought hp laserjet windows 7 32bit os and that laptop connected with a new printer .my problem is when I print to the scanner then papers will not come properly and sometimes it getting papers jam what can do?
I marked your other post as spam, do not link to driver sites that are 3rd parties.
You have a Brother and an HP printer and the same issue is occurring on both, that means the driver clearly is not the issue, it is the file or the application sending it.
Add to that, you are posting on a Xerox forum about a Brother and an HP.
I have got a Printer drivers problem in HP Laserjet. I have also asked some of the persons they also said that they didn't the answer for that so if you know the solution to the problem please tell.
Hi there,
Thank you for that tip. I was already trying to do that but it didn't work. I had to reboot everything in the end, delete all printers and start from scratch. It took a while but somehow it did install in the end. The problem now is colours as nothing is printing anything like what it looks like on screen (red is coming out brown!). I'll start a new thread for that though. Thank you :)
Start > Devices and Printers
Right-click the installed printer and choose Printer Properties
Select the Advanced tab and click New Driver, then simply browse to where it extracted.
Hi, I've just purchased a 2nd Xerox Phaser 7800DN printer and cannot get it to install. When I first plugged it into my Windows 7 computer via USB it installed no problem. BUT it then printed grey instead of blue. The Xerox engineer here suggested I try the PCL6 printer drivers. Unfortunately he couldn't help any further as he was here for a hardware issue.
So I tried to install the PCL6 drivers (we've had this problem before on our Mac). The drivers download and unpack themselves into a Xerox folder and then you are prompted to choose one of 2 options: Install a Local Printer or Install a Network Printer. Naturally I'd think the Local Printer would be the correct option as that's exactly what it is, however, it says quite clearly next to it 'not if this is a USB connection as Windows installs this automatically'. The other option is also clearly wrong as it is not networked in any way. So I'm stuck! I either select a wrong option or I Cancel. Either way my printer is not installed with the correct drivers. I even tried to go for the Local Printer installation anyway but then I had to choose a port. I have no idea what port I should be choosing from the long list!
Please can somebody help? I'm so frustrated with this. I've spent hours removing it and reinstalling it and now I even get an error on Windows saying it couldn't find the drivers. What on earth is going on? We had no problems installing the first one on the Mac.
I know the PCL6 drivers are sitting on my hard drive. I have the printer. I have a USB cable. What do I do? I really hope someone can help as I have never ever had problems installing all manner of printers in the past but this one has me stumped. Thank you :)
