Re: Phaser 7800 not booting, screen garbled

Your next step would be to do an ALTBoot. Sadly we are not allowed to post how that is done on the forum. That would wipe all data and reload the firmware straight from a USB drive.

If the screen stays messed up after that you would know for certain it is a hardware failure and would have to diagnose from there. You would need a Service manual for that, and again, we can't post links to those either as they are considered internal information.

Phaser 7800 not booting, screen garbled

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello everyone,

I am hoping to find the cause of my printer issue with a Xerox 7800. I do not think it is a problem with the screen since the printer no longer responds to network or usb connections.  The printer itself powers on but when the screen comes up it just shows some garbled lines across the top. I have added a picture for reference.  Is it possible the removeable board has gone bad? Thanks! Screen
