Simply install a Xerox driver.

Class drivers are Microsoft drivers that fall in line with the industry standard for V4 drivers.

V4 drivers need a companion app to function to their fullest (But still not to the full extent of a V3 driver)

For Xerox branded printers, the companion app is the Xerox Print Experience App

But I highly suggest installing the V3 drivers over V4 drivers, but never use a Class driver unless for a temporary purpose or if only requiring simple functionality.

Phaser 7800GX - Unable to Select Paper Tray

We have a Phaser 7800GX and the users are stating that they cannot select what try to use when sending a print job.


I have just been asked to look into this and have not worked with this printer at all.


It has the Xerox Phaser 7800 Series Class Driver v6.3.9600.17415 installed. It also has 5 trays.


Can anyone inform me how to configure this printer so that when a user sends a print job they can select which tray to pull paper from?
