We have a Phaser 8400 that, after turning on the power, it runs and passes diagnostics. It then goes through the warm up and cleaning process. At the very end of the warm up process, it prints the Startup page. As soon as the Startup page is printed, the front panel LED turns from green to red for a moment, then the LED turns off, and the printer appears to power cycle and start the process all over.
We have run the internal diagnostics and they have shown nothing to be a problem. The error logs do not have any errors logged. Assuming that it had to do with the electronics of the machine, we spent $400 and had the electronics module replaced. The printer is still doing this after replacing the electronics module. We are stumped as to where to look next.
Hi hcrane,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at this solution for Power Cycling and see if it will help. Also please make sure that the machine is plugged into a dedicated outlet, remove any surge protectors, extension cords, or power strips and plug the machine directly into the outlet to make sure that is not the issue. If none of this helps please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
