Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for only printing in black and white after installing the printer on WIndows 7.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Phaser 8500DN only prints grayscale even though jet test page prints perfectly in color

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS.  I had to reinstall the OS recently and downloaded  the Global driver.  Documents only print in gray scale.  Test page only prints in gray scale.  But...using the troubleshooting, print quality problems, Trouble Shooting Print Quality Page from the 8500DN keypad, the printer prints out a jet test page showing every jet and all colors printing vibrantly and flawlessly.  I've tried all printer properties, properties, etc.  Problem is not specific to printing PDFs.  It's not on booklet.  I've uninstalled the global driver and installed PCL6 driver?  No difference.

 

I can't see how it could be a problem with the print head if the printer shows that it can certainly print in color by way of the jet test page...

 

What can I do to resolve this?
