Phaser 8560 Fault

I have this model printer for 3 years and a the cable is USB shielded.  When sending a print from my apple mac (latest apple mac software for xerox downloaded) the print either

1. comes out normal (you can tell from the sound the printer makes as its making a print) OR

2. comes out as text (the printer makes a different sound and you can tell it is going to print loads of garbage)

The printer has a mind of its own..either its 1. or 2. and when its 2. it prints tons of postscipt (?) if this the correct word.....e.g., if if the print is from firefox it will have e.g. from the top

Re: Phaser 8560 Fault

Hi Optician,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Sounds like you are getting some postscript errors or just plain gibberish.  Please take a look at this solution for gibberish from a Mac when printing using a USB cable.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,
