Re: Phaser 8560 RAM Error

I have cleaned everything i can find in the printer with tape, air, and cloth. In the process, I found there is a roller inside the front cover that is dented. It is a metal roller. How could that even happen? Is that why the paper won't be fed? Any ideas on how to "fix" it without a new roller? Thanks.

Re: Phaser 8560 RAM Error

As I said, I had already tried all that. I got the new RAM, and the machine starts back up again. However, it keeps saying there is a paper jam and its trying to do a cleaning page. I have yet to get it to print anything, because it jams every time.

Re: Phaser 8560 RAM Error

Hi Xeroxnewbie1,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for RAM Error.   Make sure the RAM is installed correctly.  To try to reset the NVRAM please take a look at the steps.  One other thing to try is to power down the machine, remove the RAM and power back on to see if it will start up normally if so do the NVRAM reset. Then you can try reinstalling the RAM.  If none of this helps please consider contacting your local support centre.

Thanks,

Phaser 8560 RAM Error

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a Phaser 8560 and it currently says "RAM Error". I've tried moving the ram into the other slot etc so far, but nothing. I am waiting on new RAM, but from what I've read, I'm doubtful that will fix it. How do I go about resetting the NVRAM if I:

A: Do not have the configuration page (Is there some place this information might be stored on a computer that uses it frequently?)

B: The screen reads RAM ERROR, and will not respond to button presses to enter NVRAM reset. (is there a way to do this somewhere on the machine)

I do have the original IP/MAC Address information.

Also, assuming the above don't work, how likely is it, that opening everything up and just disconnecting the control module and reconnecting everything will solve the issue?

I'm trying to figure out the next step.

Thank you!
