Printer sent to dumpster where it belongs.
No one here cares. They just want to refer you to telephone tech support or send a tech to charge you an arm and a leg for a 5-10 minute job. Xerox reliability is beyond brutal. EVen the xerox technician told me that the next problem I get, it's best to junk the $2700 printer.

Factory reset also done. Problem still persists.

Still no luck:

Went into MS Word page setup, selected tray 2 for the whole document.
Printer properties, also selected tray 2 plain paper, clicked on drop down menu and also selected tray 2.
In the devices and printers, selected tray 2.
Even in the actual printer settings, tray 2 is selected.

How can all these settings point to tray 2 and still not print from it?

Hey you!

Does it work to copy using tray 2?

If so factory resetting the printer probably wont help.

I suggest you have a look at Devices and Printers -> Printer Preferences -> Advanced -> Printing Defaults  (Depending on what OS you have)

Unfortunately it still won't print from tray 2.

I would like to factory reset the printer and reinstall the drivers.  Can you advise on how to factory reset the printer?

Please take a look at this solution for printing from a slected tray from Micrsoft Word.  The same settings may apply if you are printing from a program other than Word.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

It appears to be stuck on tray 1 regardless of what I do.

From the printer: default tray set to tray 2, tray 2 set to plain paper, letter size.

From the computer: I went into printer settings, selected tray 2, plain paper. Went into advanced settings and also selected tray 2.

Still no luck.

Right now I have the printer printing from tray 1 because I cantget it to print on tray 2 but now another problem arose: tray 1 wont print colour. Went into colour settngs and selected colour.

Please help! Very frustrated with this expensive investment!

I am trying to print from tray 2 but it always prints from tray 1.  I went into the settings and selected to print from tray 2 as default, and it still prints from tray 1.  Can anyone help?
