Michael,
Another option - if your machine is still under warranty or you have a service contract with Xerox - you could call 1.800.835.6100 and talk to the Phaser product engineers and they can work with you over the phone. If they determine that they would like to see samples, then they'll provide you with a email address to send your print samples to. (This is who I would be sending any uploaded samples to.)

Hi Michael,
Would you be able to post a print sample that I could download and analyze? This would greatly help in determining what the issue may be.
To upload an image to this forum simply click on your Username in the upper right-hand corner of any forum page (right next to where it says Sign Out; My Settings; and Help) Next, in the right-hand margin you should see a box for your image gallery. This box should contain a link to add images to your gallery. Click that link and you'll be asked to browse for the file(s) that you want to upload. Once you have uploaded the sample(s) to your image gallery, you can then add those images to a reply post for me. When you open a new reply to me, simply click on the little icon of a tree which appears at the top of your reply message. This will allow you to choose a image to upload for me to look at.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if this procedure does not work for you.

Hello Thorgut,
Can you tell us what software you are using to create and print your files with? What OS is on your computer, and what version of software and firmware is loaded on your Phaser 8860? I'll try to help you resolve this issue without you having to request a service call.
John
Hello there, if anyone out there can help me out with this I would be quite giddy. I've had a phaser for over 2 years and I always thought the print quality was ok (not as good as I had hoped but the printing was cheap) but then I saw several other examples of print quality from other 8860 phasers and I was quited shocked. The images appeared very smooth and comparable to an expensive xerox laser printer. My prints always have small visible dots on them, sometimes they are very seperated and other times they are sparses. I don't see anything on the print quality issues in the manual that would compare to this issue. So the prints are good, they just aren't great. I've tried every colour and quality option I could think of in the printer settings. I've uninstalled and re-installed drivers multiple times and it doesn't go away. They don't appear on font or in a colour box, like in powerpoint if you have a rectangle filled with black (The print I'm looking at right now has a black rectable block in it that looking totally unblemished. If you have any suggestions, pleaes let me know. Thanks in advance
