We Are at Beyoung usually do Xerox a number of times in a day. Now We are planning Mac OS 10.5 Catalina Driver installation for upgrading our tech of Xerox. Please kindly help!
I just spoke with Xerox tech support and was told basically I am out of luck. I use Catalina and have tried all the options on this topic.
I too will not buy anymore xerox products if they can not keep up with upgraded OS. My printer works great. Yes, it is old Phaser 6280 but it works great if only it had a driver that was compatible.
I called AppleCare support and they said try downloading the most current driver xerox has. I did that and managed to get past the "can not open...."
I can see the Xerox printer in my printer window but still can't print.
Xerox said connect with a USB cable vs ethernet. I looked high and low on my 6280 and see no ports for any USB port.
Unfortunately the Mojave driver is now too old.

Xerox, is your plan to isolate/deny/repulse so many users by making their hardware useless?
I just updated my laptop today to Mac OS 10.5 Catalina and just curious as to how you got the Xerox driver to work. I tried downloading both the Mojave drivers (Xerox WorkCentre 6015B 64bit Mac 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 and Xerox WorkCentre 6015N_NI 64bit Mac 10.12, 10.13, 10.14) but every time I try to open the downloads, I get a message saying,
“Xerox WorkCentre 6015N_NI installer.pkg can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information."
If you can help me out on how you got it to work that would be great! I'm literally in the middle of printing something important and having to find out that my printer isn't compatible anymore with my newly updated laptop is really frustrating.
I understand your concern and I wish I had better news for you. I would suggest that you try the Mojave driver and see if that will work for your printer. Also consider contacting your local support centre they can escalate your request for a driver and may have a workaround.
Thank you for the information, but it seems a bit unreasonable that a printer which is otherwise in fine condition and not very old has become unusable due to an OS upgrade. I guess I have purchased my last Xerox product.
