Sadly, most Xerox printers, including this one, take the banner page from the same tray as the rest of the job. It can't be changed.
A cover page is an entirely different thing, it would be if you wanted to print the job on plain white paper, but the first page (and last page if needed) on an entirely different stock (Shiny glossy stock or just a different color)
<The following is not going to be simple, and isn't guaranteed, and not supported by Xerox>
It might be possible, but I haven't tried it, to use a Windows separator page instead.
You could enter the code for the tray you want in the seperator file and it should work.
I have an AltaLink 8070 setup on a print server and I'm trying to setup banner pages. We'd like to be able to have the banner page print from a specific tray that has color paper in it (in this case tray 2) and the print job itself just be defaulted as normal to auto select whatever tray it needs. I've got banner pages turned on on the copier itself but there's no option to change where the banner paper comes from. I'm looking at the driver as well on the server and I see an option for "Cover Pages" would this be the correct setting to use?
