Hi MRCAnalyst,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Make sure you are following the solutions for selecting the output options. Make sure you have the latest firmware loaded on the printer.
I have a customer with an Altalink B8090 that is used primarily for printing large batch prints overnight. The device replaced a Ricoh machine. The job that they print exceeds the capacity of the stacker tray and the problem that we're encountering is that when the stacker tray is full the machine automatically starts printing the job from the top tray until the top tray is overfilled and the machine jams. The print server is defaulted to send jobs to the stacker tray as its ouput destination and I initially thought that this is all that we would need to define to prevent this from happening, however our testing proves otherwise. If we fill the stacker tray until it indicates that it is full and send a new print job, specifying the stacker tray as the output destination, the machine sends the job to the top tray automatically.
Can you tell me how to disable this auto output destination redirection to the top tray when the stacker is full? The customer wants jobs to hold in the queue when the stacker is full until they empty it.
