Re: Print parameter in UNIX for Black/White print

I tried digging into a print to file and it appears VersaLink jobs are sent as a PJL wrapper inside an XCPT ticket, there is no equivalent PJL command. There also isn't one in the PDL reference guide.

I'm afraid you will probably need to call in and get it escalated to Engineering to get something to work.

A thing you could try, assuming all UNIX jobs are to be BW and won't need color

EWS > System > PDL Settings > PCL6 and set color to BW, this should make any job that doesn't have color specifid automagically do BW

Hi Joe,

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately it didn't work. The image was still printed in color.

Print parameter in UNIX for Black/White print

Product Name: VersaLink C7020/C7025/C7030 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: UNIX

Hi there,

We just upgraded the machine to VersaLink C7025. In windows sserver, I could easily enable the setting to print black and white only.

Our Oracle EBS is running on HP Unix system. How can I set the parameters in Oracle printer driver so that the documents can only be printed in black and white as well?

I tried the following parameters but none of them worked.
-oColorModel=KGray
-oColorModel=Gray
-oColorModel=Black

Thank you in advance.
