That's too bad... so many options and the most convenient for a school isn't one of them.
But thanks for the support.
This machine doesn't do that, you could do Secure Print and assign codes to a job to release them.
Or print to a Saved job to a public folder or private if you want one per user.
Thank you for your suggestion.
I tried to do that, but doing so it's instantly printed. I need all print jobs to be in a print queue of the copier.
I'd like a list of all the documents of all the users in a queue when they press print on the computer. When the print job is done, the document is gone.... a password is not necessary.
It's to prevent users to accidently grab the wrong documents, because the copier is constantly in use.
Can't you just switch the driver port/protocol to LPR and then use the logged in users name?
Hi,
We're using the Xerox workcentre 5955. We previously had Ricoh-copiers and all our pc's print orders were put in a print queue by name (delayed print). This name was set in the printer driver on each device .
In the Workcentre, the only options we see, are:
- Print queue by pc name (every teacher has a couple of pc's they manage, I can't give them all the same computer name.)
- Print orders are placed in the internal memory of the printer with a password. (It's usable, but time-consuming since the amount of steps you need to do before you get the print. The print orders also need to be cleaned out since we have a lot of users.)
So, is there an option available that puts print orders in a queue where the order has the name of the user, written in the printer driver and not copied from the pc name? It seems unlikely it doesn't have this option.
Thanks a lot,
