Re: Marks & Bleeds with 8570?

Jump to solution

I'm having trouble printing bleed marks. All instructions that I have found so far indicate Settings/Printer/Advanced Output Settings/Marks & Bleed. In Windows 10, I can't seem to navigate to those options as the 8570 printer does not have an Advanced Output Setting that I'm able to locate. Not sure if that is a function of the less-than-useful Xerox Printer App or just a Win10 issue. Advice appreciated.

Thank you... this is pretty much what I've come to as well.  But is nice to know I'm not missing something.  And given the beautiful printing w/ this thing I can deal with the paper size restrictions... thanks for your info.

Re: Print to edge with 8570?

Hi,

There are no color printers models (solid ink or laser) that can print edge-to-edge. The only way to get the work done is to use 3 mm bleed printed on a bigger paper size. Because 8570 is a A4 printer, you don't have many size possibilities to print full bleed.

In InDesign you have the normal bleed control. Just set the amount of bleed and be careful with paper size because you can not use bigger then the max suppported by your printer (

76 x 127 mm to 216 x 356 mm)

.

Printers can not print to the edge because can damage the printer, mainly print quality caused by contamination.

Print to edge with 8570?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Is the Color Cube 8570 print to edge capable? Also any good tutorials around understanding bleeds and printing to edge (either wanting ink to edge or avoiding it)? I am learning to use InDesign after being familiar with PS (which doesn't have much in the way of Bleed, controls, etc).
