un-checking the enable advanced printing features usually fixes that.
I guess they will need to troubleshoot why their user accounts are causing a delay.
They will probably need to call Xerox for help, it would be much faster than using the forum days apart and sending requests off to an uninvolved 3rd party.
Hey Joe,
You are right, sorry. It took a while to get the callback telling me its fixed or not. It wasent.
The delay is in the opening of the printing preferences from any application. It turns out the delay is NOT there when doing this from a user with administrative rights. (a.k.a an Admin)
Tried both RAW as LPR protocol. SNMP turned off and on. With and without bidirectional communication. GPD and model-specific print driver. The only thing that seemed to help was, as said above, a user with administrative rights. It was on Server2k12 with, I believe, Win8 workstations.
It has been 6 hours so I would assume it did not work, yet you posted 3 more times in various threads for an hour.
So what is up with your driver, at what point is it slow?
What type of port is in use?
What OS are you printing from?
I'm experiencing this exact same issue with a XWC7830 and a XWC7845.
I am trying this right now and will post if this resolved the problem.
Uncheck this:
And both of these:
It should be fine at that point, but a reboot can't hurt first.
When printing (anything, Word, Internet, anythng) and try to access Printer Properties option it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes. I have tried removing the printer and installing it again.
We have another work station exactly like mine, nothing is different and that one works just fine, no hesitation on Print Properties or any other option.
(Xerox WorkCentre 4250 PCL6)
Please help!
