Re: Printer does not use correc user role

Unfortunately, I already contacted the local Xerox support about 2 weeks ago (Germany) but they told me they are mainly hardware support experts and cannot help me with any software related requests as soon as more complex functionality is concerned. They promised to forward my ticket to second level support, but when I called a couple of days later to ask for the status of my ticket, I was told that it had already been closed.....

I would be really happy to get in contact with someone from Xerox who is an expert in the functionality concerned (German or international) as all I want to do is use a standard functionality of the printer which is also described in the manuel but does not work as expected.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Re: Printer does not use correc user role

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

Thanks,

Printer does not use correc user role

Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hello,

I would like the printer to print in grayscale by default (i.e. if the guest printing user role is used) and to print in color only if the default prnting user role is used. To do this, I created a new user with the web interface and assigned the default printing user role to this user.

My problem: How to I setup the printer and/or the driver on the PC from which I would like to print, so that the printer recognizes that this PC is associated with the user for the defualt printing role instead of just the guest role?
