Hi There,

This message means the device is not reading the current printer cartridge or drum/imaging unit and therefore is not printing. Please remove all cartridges and reinstall them. If this does not resolve the issue, contact your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

Product Name: Xerox B230 Printer
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 - El Capitan
What does reinstall missing or unresponsive cartridge (31.40E) mean. I don’t do much printing and only replaced a cartridge recently.
