Printer printing A3 size when A4 selected

My ApeosPort-IV C5575 printer some times prints what looks like an A3 page onto an A4 bit of paper when A4 is the selected paper size. This happens when printing PDF documents with Adobe reader, and also word docs in Office 2010.

Looking at the paper size, everything looks fine.

This happens very randomly and after a while it will fix it self and print at normal size.

It is very hard to recreate the problem because of how inconsistently it happens.

Note: This is being printed using a terminal server running server 2008 R2

Any help would be most appreciated as this is a very annoying issue.

Re: Printer printing A3 size when A4 selected

Hi JustinRDC,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please try using the Print as Image feature in Adobe for the PDFs and see if that will help.  Here are the instructions:

Enable the "Print as Image" Option Within Adobe Acrobat

From the computer:

  1. Open the PDF document in the Adobe Acrobat application and select [Print] from the File menu. The Print window will be displayed.
  2. Select the printer from the Name pull-down menu.
  3. Proceed to the appropriate section below, depending on what version of Adobe Acrobat is being used.

For Adobe Acrobat 4.0/5.0:

  1. Click on the [Print as Image] check box to insert a check mark and enable this option.
  2. Click on [OK] to print the job.

Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and above:

  1. Click on the [Advanced] button located in the lower left corner of the window. The Advanced Print Setup window will be displayed.
  2. Click on the [Print as Image] check box to insert a check mark and enable this option.
  3. Click on [OK] twice to print the job.

If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,
