Printer reboots after getting IP

Product Name: WorkCentre 3335/3345
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hi folks.

Today I had to change my wireless router with a new one. I configured everything 1:1 (SSID, WPA2, IP Range, DHCP reservation). PCs, phones, TV,.. were able to connect and surf the web.

So turned My WorkCenter 3335 on to check, if it will work as well. I found out immediately that it reboots maybe 30s after it starts. After a deeper analyze I found out that maybe after 6-7 successful pings / seconds after it gets the correct IP, it just reboots. Then it starts up, and again - after getting an IP it reboots again.

I thought it may have something to do with the 1:1 wifi config, so I deleted the old one and created a brand new SSID, WPA2, IP range. Configured the new SSID via the Printer Buttons/Display. The same bad result..

Then I disabled wifi on the router and plugged the LAN cable to the printer. It got the IP but - Same bad result..

When I shut down the Router, so the printer is not able to connect anywhere, it doesn't  reboot. So it has to have something to do with the Network stack in the firmware. It was working almost a year more or less fine. Unfortunately I cannot find any suitable way to do factory default, since all how-to's are refering to the web interface, which I cannot run since the Printer reboots after obtaining an IP :(

Do you have any suggestions? THANX

Re: Printer reboots after getting IP

Hi Estus,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Make sure that the printer is not connected to a surge protected power strip, extension cord or uninterrupted power source (UPS). Always connect the printer directly to a dedicated outlet with the supplied factory power cord. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Re: Printer reboots after getting IP

Hi.

This is realy the first time, I am hearing such recommendation. For decated I've been using power extension cords to connect various devices having no problems at all. How on earth can this influence the printer?

Thanx for the reply
