Two ideas. Power off, Open up the printer and remove all the customer replaceable units. Fuser, drums toner waste bottle (if it has one) replace them all and power on.
if that does not help see if you can access the printer web interface and look to see if there are any error codes that might give a better indication of the problem. See screen shot
I came back from a weekend away, the printer had been in sleep mode but we noticed that the fan was running noisily and unresponsive to the buttons. So I restarted the printer and now it is stuck on the Xerox logo screen and won't proceed to the menu screen and the buttons do not do anything. Fan immediately running.
I have tried restarting with the data cable unplugged but same issue as above.
Any ideas gratefully received!
