I run full color #10 envelopes all the time using this method with VERY few misfeeds.
Only certain envelopes work as some are not long enough to meet the minimum size required by the 700.
You will have to set the artwork up accordingly as well.
Good luck.

We have the 700i, and would like to be able to run #10 envelopes using a separate fuser, Xerox would certainly get clicks if it added the capability.
Currently all that has worked has been #11's flaps open and printed sideways, not long direction.
Of course I am also on the lookout for a Envelope manufacturer making a oversize flap on a #10 that costs less than a #11
Thanks,
Ken
Hi rplalbany,
I have a 7435 and I am trying to run #11 envelopes from wither Word ot Publisher but cannot pin down the settings. Would you be willing to share the setting you use?
Thanks!
To print #10 envelopes unfold the flaps and feed from long edge with flap facing away from the machine from manual bypass. Only certain envelopes work as some are not long enough to meet the minimum size required by the 700. You will have to set the artwork up accordingly as well. Good luck.
Hello. I am an Authorized Sales Representative and Reseller. You should have received a CED (Customer Expectation Document) from your sales rep and a copy of the RML (Recommended Media List). Envelopes are not a supported media on the 700. I had a customer I sold a 252, also not recommended for envelopes, who contacted me wanting to know if he could run #10's for a customer in full color. I showed him how to set the job up to run them through the bypass tray, and showed him that they were going to have a wrinkle in the corner. Envelopes are made to be stuffed, so they have some "give" and are not perfectly flat. You also have the glued flaps which add to the problem of running them. Bottom line - you're not going to get an acceptable, salable envelope run on the 242/252/260 or 700. One caveat, though. I encourage you to run a couple for yourself, stuff them with a couple of pages, and mail them back to yourself. The manhandling that takes place by the USPS will easily cover for the small wrinkle and it will go un-noticed by the end recipient. If you're looking for a solution for in-house work, you will probably never notice the wrinkles. The new 77xx series can be ordered with an envelope tray that can replace tray 1 and be used to print envelopes. The 700 is a great device, but there are much better methods for printing envelopes, including Xerox desktop printers. It's hard to design a device that will print as beautifully as the 700 does on 13x19 gloss cover stock and expect it to also run envelopes. I regularly run some simple variable data/mail merges onto #10, #11, and A10 size envelopes on 7345's and 7435's and people are amazed that they were run on small scale Xerox office devices. Tabs are another item that I run all the time on these smaller devices, although they are not on the RML. It just takes some experimentation and patiience to figure it out.
Thank you for your help. I will look into the type of envelopes that I am using.
I don't handle this product but I did find this under the support site.
I found the following in the support knowledge base.
NOTE: Some envelope wrinkling can occur with some printers. Wrinkling is not specific to Xerox products and is not an indication that a printer requires service.
The following steps can be taken to minimize wrinkling:
NOTE: Envelopes can only be loaded in the Bypass Tray (Tray 5). The following envelopes are supported:
Thank you for your help
have you looked in the customer expectation document if those types of envelopes are supported by this device? Envelopes is always tricky...
