Re: Printing Off Center

I have managed to reset the printer, and have looked at the Print > Image options. Changing them does nothing, and the problem is not really with images anyway (I have tested .docs as well and the same thing happens). Is there anything else you can think of that would cause this problem?

I'm coming to accept that I'm going to have to call the helpline, but when I tried that before the recording told me that I would need to pay for support. As this is clearly something that was up with the printer when I bought it - it has NEVER printed correctly - will I still be charged?

Re: Printing Off Center

Thank you for replying! Unfortunately, I can't access that menu because when I try to open Settings > Print on the printer, it asks me for a PIN. As I never set one, and can't see how to set one, there seems to be no way to get into that section of the settings.

Re: Printing Off Center

Hi cpercoco,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the adjustments you can make to the location of the print area. You can find that information in the User Guide in the image section starting on page 79.  Best fit is the default, if yours is set for something else try the default,  Also make sure you have programmed the size and type of paper correctly.  Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Re: Printing Off Center

I have just printed the quality test pages, and the page with all the info states that the top margin is 19, bottom is -8, left is -9, and right is 0. What does this mean, and how can I adjust them?

Re: Printing Off Center

Just wanted to note that I tested printing (in portrait orientation) from LibreOffice today and found that the short edge margins are still coming out wrong - too big at the top and too small at the bottom.

Printing Off Center

Product Name: Xerox C230 Color Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

I have had my printer for a month or so now, and this entire time it has been printing off center. I print booklets in it, which have symmetrical margins in the typesetting software and in the PDFs (3/4" on the outer edges and 1" on either side of the center) but when I print them they are coming out with a 1/2" margin on the outer edge of one page and 7/8" on the outer edge of the facing page. I print with auto-duplexing and the problem is the same on both sides.

There isn't much to do to try to fix it described online, but I've put in more paper, made sure the tray is set to letter, etc. What else can I do?
