Check your printers firmware, if it ends with .14201 there is a bug with IPP. If that is the case you would need to upgrade the firmware, or change the driver to use HP Jet direct, or LPD instead of Bonjour/IPP to submit jobs.

I am a support tech in a computing center. We have a mixture of different OSes here. Printing from Windows works flawlessly, but our WC 7835 is failing lately.
The printer is on a Windows Printer Server, and also is visible via static IP. The Macs print via static IP. Lately, the Macs connect to the printer, the printer is recognized as a WC 7835, but printing to the machine continuously fails.
I receive errors like the enclosed. I received these errors in quick succession.
Everyone here keeps their MacOS up to date. I am on 10.11, and others are on at least 10.10.
I am using Xerox driver version 3.68, (latest from the Web.) A co-worker who was able to print was using 3.64. All default settings are chosen.
The pop ups that say "out of paper" and so on are completely off. The trays are fine, full of paper, and do not complain with Windows.
