Hello Fergie,
Sounds like you have tried everything already, so it would be a software escalation: 1-800-821-2797.
Hi everyone,
Lots of users are now experiencing issues while printing from local application.
What I need to know is why this has started to happen when nothing has changed and the same driver used works?
The print server did have an update a few weeks ago but I cannot find out what these mean?
Found to be only local apps sent to the print queue to be corrupted but successful prints when using the same apps via Citrix.
Appears to be driver corruption but not on the print server as re-installing from the print server, it works.
Deleted the local printer and added back again but this did not resolve the issue.
Open Citrix and tested all apps successfully via the same print queue, that is auto created by the local queue, and same test was successful.
Removed the print queue and driver this time… ie… remove printer, remove driver, re-install printer…
Restarted spooler
Added local printer back
All successful though for some users it will not delete…
…even if we use the following PS script locally on the machine…
Remove-Printer "\\servername\queuename"
Remove-PrinterDriver "Xerox Global Print Driver PCL6"
Add-Printer -ConnectionName “\\servername\queuename"
But back to my original question… why has this issue started to happen when nothing has changed and the same driver used works after removing and adding back?
I cannot be doing these two steps due to our complex farm...
1. Continue the remedial workaround
2. Update the troublesome driver completely to a latest GPD and deploy it across our estate.
