Hi USAFS22,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. I'm sorry but I do not find anywhere in the paper specifications that carbonless forms are supported on the VersaLink C400. I would suggest contacting your support centre to see if they know if the machine is meant to work with carbonless forms and if so how.
I purchased this printer to print carbonless forms for our company use, amongst other things. However, when printing the carbonless forms, the quality is just terrible. The color is smudged all across the paper, and the entire piece comes out extremely blotched. After reading the knowledge database and contacting support, I have been advised that this printer is not recommended for carbonless paper. Unfortunately, it is a little too late for that now. I inquired about returning the printer but didn't receive any response.
I can print up to (7) 3-part forms without issue. The quality is great. However, when printing any more than (7) 3-Part carbonless forms (in color), the quality is terrible as described above. I have tried editing the paper settings to "colored" and "plain" but these settings don't help with the issue.
At this point I am stuck with this printer but I still need to print my forms, so I am trying to find the least stressful way to go about it. Are there any best settings or practices for printing carbonless forms on the VersaLink C400? I really can't afford to buy another new printer at this point.
