There are massive changes between the 2 RIPS, the older simply never had the feature and never will.

Explain this to your sales rep, they can in cases work out deals to get the upgrade kits at a reduced rate.

Printing on Custom Size 9x11 from Tray 1

Jump to solution
Product Name: Xerox Color C60/C70
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

2 Scenarios.  Scenario 1 fails, Scenario 2 works.  Each scenario utilizes a different Fiery EX-i version.

Scenario 1: C60 w/Fiery EX-i version 1.0 SP3 (all patches up to date)

9x11 LEF is loaded in Tray 1 and configured using the Custom Size setting.

The file is a PDF containing LTR & 9X11 formatted pages.  The application used is Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Choose Paper source by PDF Page size is selected within the application print window.

Printer properties are set for Auto Tray Select.

The result is LTR size pages are printed until the printer calls for 9x11 to be loaded in Tray 5, Bypass.

Troubleshooting details are provided after Scenario 2.

Scenario 2: C60 w/Fiery EX-i version 2.1 (all patches up to date)

Flawless.  Works as expected.

Troubleshooting EX-i v1.0

After multiple adjustments in Print Service Settings, Paper Tray attributes, etc. I decided to reinstall the original System Software.  Did not use any backups.

Resulted in no difference.  Media is still required to be loaded in Bypass.

The driver will prompt with a conflict if media source selected  is Tray 1 and document size is 9x11.

Thank you.

Dave
