Thanks for the great info
Ok, Tray 1 actually fed my cardstock really well. It fits the specs so that's pretty great that I don't need to use the Bypass tray. However, it continues to not print my Photoshop file, and rather a text-based page that says
"Xerox
Unknown @USB
[Date] + [Time]
Start Page
Xerox Versalink C8000 Printer"
I'm not sure what this page is and there is no error code to refer back to. I tried doing a google search and found nothing, but clearly my file isn't making it to print. What could be causing this?
CherylO, thank you for the reply.
I've installed the V3 driver and that works well to set the paper size. But for some reason in the V3 printing properties, I cannot set the tray to the Bypass Tray. It only allows me to choose Tray 1 or 2. In V4 I can set the Bypass tray but not the paper size.
I sent it to print anyway by choosing "Automatically Select" tray through the V3 drivers, and I get a fairly blank page that says "Unknown @USB" printed. Very odd.
Regardless, is there a way to set the Bypass Tray in V3?
Hi wtesharples,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Have you set the custom size in the program you are printing from? Also make sure the paper you are using are within specs. for the tray.
The tray, driver and program must all have the same custom size, paper type, and driver and program the same paper tray chosen. If they are all set the same, try setting it up to tray1 and see if it will work. If that does not work please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hello,
I am trying to print on 150 x 150 mm square paper on the Versalink C8000.
I have set the custom paper size from the manual feed / bypass tray, and set the paper to the same size on the printer driver, but the machine won't print.
Any help welcome, i'm not even sure if the printer can handle square paper? And there doesn't seem to be anyone with similar issues.
Thanks,
Will
