Re: Printing on Translucent paper on iGen 150 or X1000

We used to have a 1000 and I could get the translucent through it no problem with my 150 iGen I haven't been able to get it to work.

Re: Printing on Translucent paper on iGen 150 or X1000

Hi Joe

The paper is Translucent not Transparent. We 1st tried to print on translucent paper that have no strips & it still jammed. Then we ordered

the paper with the strips, which is certified to work on Xerox Printers. Still did not work. On the X1000 we actually got it to reach the sensor just before the fuser. On the iGen it only reaches the 1st sensor.

Can you tell me what settings I need to put into my media library to make this work. The Paper size is SRA3.

Thanks

Hugo

Re: Printing on Translucent paper on iGen 150 or X1000

It's probably the strip causing an issue. If the tray is set for transparency, the sensor doesn't expect to see the strip, when it does, it will assume an incorrect paper feed and stop (If nothing is damaged, it means a sensor stopped what it thought was an impending issue, as opposed to a real jam where the paper caught and got stuck/stopped).

While the paper itself is designed for laser printing, it doesn't mean it is specced for every laser printer.

The RML for the iGen is here, the only listed transparency has no strip.

The 1000 RML is here with no transparencies at all.

Printing on Translucent paper on iGen 150 or X1000

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi All

I'm having problems printing on Translucent Paper on my X1000 & my iGen 150 Press. It seems that the sensors is not picking up the paper. It feeds to a certain point, then it jams.

Is there anything you can advise me on what I need to do to be able to run it effectively. The paper I use has a strip of white on the lead & back edge of the paper & is certified for

Digital printing. It's called Curious Translucent.

Hope to hear from you soon...

Thanks
