It is on the RML guide, so yes it is for the 1000i
Is the Xerox 1000i capable of processing the magnetic paper?
thanks for the information and links.sjd
Hello SJD57,
I'm familiar with Xerox UltraMagnet and other Xerox Custom Media.
In Europe, there is currently one product available, Xerox UltraMagnet.
For further information consult this information sheet.
If you are located in North America or Canada, there are several magnetic options for iGen. See this overview for details.
A demo of how the sheet is magnetised post-printing is shown this video. The printed sheet is simply swiped using a hand-held magnetiser that imparts good magnetic strength. Most customers use a device like this. For higher volumes there are automated magnetisers available.
iGen has metal components along the paper path so an unmagnetised sheet is required for reliable transport through the printer.
I hope this assists with your question.

We are looking into printing on magnetic media and I would like to know more about it. The xerox media is magnetized afterwards from what I gather and would like to know about the device required to do this. Also does anyone have knowledge about another magnetic sheet from NeKoosa called magnacote. It is a premagnetized sheet that supposedly can be used on some digital equipment. Thanks. sjd.
