Windows update would give you a class driver form Microsoft, and not a Xerox made driver, so Printing scout won't see it.

And since neither Windows 8 or 10  is supported, I would also assume that you would need to run printing Scout in compatibility mode, and possibly even as an administrator.

 

This is the driver that should be used to make it work, but you would need to specify the port and not use the Windows default WSD port.

Hello!

 

I just installed Windows 10 x64.

 

I tried downloading and installing the driver for my Xerox 6000, but the printer didn't get recognized.

So I procedeed to install it from Windows Update.

Now the printer is recognized and works.

 

However PrintingScount doesn't work. When I open it, it says "There are no installed printers which support PrintingScout".

Please help me. Everything worked fine with Windows 8.1
