Prints contain a small yellow dash at varying locations on paper

Normally, the Machine Identification Code "can barely be seen with the naked eye".  However, what is being experienced is clearly visible.  So, the issue may be related to the Machine Identification Code.  If so, something is definitely wrong such that it would print a clearly observable bar on the page.

I think you are talking about Machine Identification Code (MIC).
You can read in Wikipedia about that. There yellow dashes help to identify your machine in case you print something illegal)

Hi:

When I print a small yellow dash will print sporadically on the paper.  The location varies on the length of the paper but is consistently printing on the width.  Only yellow is printing; no other colors.

I have attached a photo with the yellow dashes circled in red.

While this is not highly noticable, I would prefer not having these yellow dashes.
