I was experiencing the STACK error on a Xerox 6027 trying to print PDF's directly off a thumb drive. So I knew the error was bigger than just printer drivers on Windows 10 / 11.
I was trying to print a PDF that was an Excel spreadsheet I created with the "Print" option in Excel (and the Microsoft PDF Print driver).
Instead of going that route, within Excel I saved the file as a PDF, and clicked "Options". Within the PDF Save As options in Excel is a checkbox to create a PDF/A complaint PDF. When I enabled that feature, I was able to print the same Excel as PDF directly off the thumbstick.
Net net - if you're having this issue with PDF's created by an Office application, try Save As and enable the PDF/A option. Good luck.
This happen with the WIFI Direct option is selected in the setup - use the TCP/IP port instead and it works fine with Windows 10 or Windows 11
This fix no longer works. Drivers will not install under current W11 builds.
I am having this same problem. Things worked fine for a while, but now am experiencing the stacks error. As others have pointed out, the latest driver pack will not install under W11 - for USB it is requesting non-existant files, and for network there is a .dll error.
I replaced the printer ultimately as I received a good deal of use out of it and was an absolute bargain at the price.
This is happening with the M$ supplied default drivers.
The latest Xerox driver package doesn't even install correctly under the newest Win10 version and calls for files that don't exist.
I have the same issue with Windows 10. Removing printer and installing with latest drivers from Xerox website did not resolve the issue. I can print a test page without issues, but that is all. Can print without issues from my Mac.
Did you ever get an answer? I have the same problem.
Have a Xerox 6027 printer and have downloaded print driver. Prints PDF documents, but will not print Excel or Wrod and Word attempts produce "STACK" and seemingly meaningless numbers. Have Windows 10. Any suggestions?
