Hello, I have tried doing an automatic Color Registration from the support menu, but the colors on my VersaLink C7000 laser printer are still misaligned. A thin yellow line is always slightly above a corresponding thin cyan line. For example, when a thin line is printed with color C=100 Y=100, the yellow line falls slightly above the cyan one. This is even more noticeable when the CMYK color is C=50 Y=100, allowing more of the yellow to show through the halftoned cyan line.
How can I do a manual Color Registration adjustment on this printer to vertically realign Cyan and Yellow, since an automatic registration is not doing it.
What does the acronym "mob" stand for?
"Marks on belt". It is a sensor that read the toner marks on the IBT so can auto adjust color registration.
But that sensor can be just a little dirty and if you know how to remove the IBT, you can clean it with a dry cloth. It is located inside the machine, next to the registration assembly under the fuser unit.
