Perfect resolution to my problem.

I had this problem on OpenSuse Linux, the printer queue option for 2-sided printing was greyed out in the Xerox Printer Manager. Deleting the print-queue and setting it up again usinig the C500/C505 driver fixed the problem, which seems very odd but it works.
Worked like a charm ... thank you!
The problem listed is fixed by the solution posted, so if it did not work for you , you need to explain your issue as it is not the same as the one above.
I have the same problem on our brand new VersaLink C405DN. I tried the solution mentioned above and the printer still will not print double-sided. Any suggestions?
Thank you!
If the automated option doesn't work, it would imply there is an issue using SNMP (Bi-Directional uses that protocol and it clearly isn't working.)
So, without delving into the LAN setup, just disable Bi-Di in the print driver and add Duplex in the Configuration tab
Hi,
I have a Versalink C405 (which I think is a brand new model) with duplex printer on my network. Currently on all the computers I have installed the printer (running a variety of Windows versions) the option for 2-sided printing is greyed out. I have tried re-installing the drivers multiple times, using the automatic online tool, but same problem always arises.
On one of the computers I somehow managed to get 2-sided working, but had lots of problems communicating with it. It would just tell me the printer was offline most of the time. I decided to re-install the drivers recently to solve that problem, which worked, but again 2-sided printing was subsequently greyed out.
Any ideas what I can do to fix this?
Much appreciated,
Ben
