have you tried importing the pdf file to the command workstation and then change the properties from there?
so you can bypass the driver
Several problems with incompatabilities. Yesterday I received a file from a customer, AI PDF with media specific paper list embedded. I could not reconfigure the document to print on plain or heavy weight paper from any drawer or bypass tray. The PDF was 12x18 inches, rgb with expressions and coated stock only options allowed as media for fit to print 11x17 size. I recreated the PDF from Photoshop CS4 as a jpeg and as a PDF. The same media specificmenu would only allow 11x17 coated and expression paper types. The file just sits in the fiery or finally shows as an error requiring the specified media. The 550 or the 560 do not have media specific to color expressions. I tried: coated, 1, ,2, 3, heavyweight from drawer 1,2, and from bypass, face up orientation.
Is the problem with the driver, the AI file, or Acrobat? I requested the customer check his PDF preferences from AI. Could I have solved the problem by re-export from AI?
Thanks,
Mark
so, what is the problem?
Good afternoon.
What are the drivers for the new Xerox Color 550/560 ™ for this printer with my windows XP gives several problems.
It will then be the operating system or may even be the printer itself??
Thank you and good year.
