Re: Problems printing to networked C7020 from Apple iOS devices

Thanks Cheryl,

I have had a look and neither of the articles was able to resolve our issues. Unfortunately, when I contacted the support team, they said they cannot help as the printer is out of warranty (since Nov 2020).

I would have thought that this was an easy fix - we have tried setting the printer to default to the trays installed, and have also set the option to use Letter/A4 substitution when the specified paper is unavailable - however, this has not resolved the issue.

Can you think of anything else, as I do not see the need to purchase a >£1000 support contract for such a small issue.

Many thanks

Sanj

Problems printing to networked C7020 from Apple iOS devices

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Apple iOS

Printer: VersaLink C7020

Devices: All Apple iPhones and iPad running latest iOS

Hi there, we are having issues with our printer. The printer is connected via wifi to the network. Whenever anyone tries to print from an iOS device, the printer wants special A4 paper loaded into the bypass tray. We would like to set this so that the printer automatically selects standard A4 paper and prints from Tray 1, but cannot find an easy way to do this.

Any thoughts, as this is becoming more than a distraction at this point. I know it is possible to change the media type on the iOS devices, but this has to be done every time someone wants to print.

Regards

Sanj
