Hey!
It is an SNMP problem, I do not really know why it notifies wrong, though I do know how to turn it off.
In win xp-win8 go to the printers menu -> Printer properties -> Configuration and turn SNMP off here, also go to ports -> configure port and uncheck SNMP Status Enabled.
On Mac its a lil trickier but I think you can manage :)
To manually turn SNMP off in the config file:
Open the Terminal.app.
Can be located in “Applications” -> “Utilities” -> “Terminal”
Write as following:
Snmpconf –g basic_setup
Choose the “snmpd.conf” file, if you have two of these files, select the one named “etc/snmp/snmpd.conf”.
Write as following:
No <ENTER>
Yes <ENTER>
No <ENTER>
No <ENTER>
No <ENTER>
No <ENTER>
No <ENTER>
No <ENTER>
If you get a message saying the file already exists, write this command:
Overwrite <ENTER>
Restart your MAC and SNMP should now be deactivated.

You may also need to remove the Printing Scout by doing as following:
This program is included in the driver package.
Start the “Finder” and go to Applications -> Xerox -> Printing Scout.
Take the whole catalogue and slide it over to the Trash bin, right click and select “Empty Trash”. After this you will need to restart your MAC.

Thanks!

Hi,
I work within a small agency (12-15 employees) and we share a WorkCentre 7545 printer. The only issue we're having (if you want to even call it an issue) is all of our machines give us a "Paper Tray is empty" message when we print even though all 4 pullout trays are full. We have a mixed environment of machines (both Mac and PCs) and the message comes up on all computers regardless of OS.
So my question is twofold-
1.) Does anyone have any idea why this message would be continually displaying when we print?
2.) If it's a bug without a fix, can we at least shut this notification off so the printer doesn't send us this message?
Thanks in advance!
Jeff
