Switched Tabloid paper out of tray 3 and into tray 2, and that seems to have solved the problem for now?
I remain unconvinced.
Something in there is crumpling the paper as it moves through, just before the Fuser.
But for now, Problem Solved.
It is not likely the fuser, after swapping it out the same result. It must be a roller before the fuser crinkling the paper just before the fuser, and then flattening it back out as it moves though. You can see abberations on the page around the streaking white lines.
I am pretty sure this is the fuser. There is a loud crinkleing/crackling sound as the paper passes through the Fuser when the problem is at its worst.
We installed a new fuser in the summer as the printer said it was near due for replacement.
I am going to remove the new one and put the old one back in and run a test.
We are expeirencing random white squiggles on tabloid and legal size paper only.
A4 does nto seem to have the issue. When taking the tabloid out of tray 3, and feeding some into tray 1 I get the same result.
Roller was ruled out because the streaks are not straight lines, and because they are placed randomly on the page.
It is the imaging unit or the fuser?
One tech said it might be caused by the printer not being level. It is off about 2 inches, which is being fixed, but I am sceptical it will fix this issue.
Does anyone know what could cause this?
Any insight would be greatly appreceated!
Thank you!
