I have the same problem with the 6510. The printer is brand new- the very first print there was a 'rear paper jam error.' Nothing appears to fix this problem, changing from tray 1 to the multipurpose tray, or changing the paper description, or paper size. Nothing works, nothing, nothing at all. I'm so frustrated.
I have now called xerox and been passed from 3 different departments only to get a voice mail option at the end. I have asked for a call back so hopefully they will.
Its extremely frustratng when you cannot get through to some one !
I have checked the settings are correct and it still keeps Jamming from tray one. I have changed settings to prioritise the bypass tray which works however this is still something to sort. Do i need to contact customer support to get this looked at? I have no idea how to contact any one about this and i certainly dont want the hassle of re packing it up and sending back.
Hi,
Check the paper settings in printer driver and at the machine paper tray.

I have recently started experiencing a rear paper jam from my Phaser 6510. Works fine from the bypass tray but always jams from the main tray. There is nothing in the printer that is stuck and its only about 3 month old. This started happening the moment i plugged it into a lap top rather than my PC although this is likely a coincedence.
Has any one had similar issues? I have removed and resintalled soft ware and checked for updates but still this persists.
