Re: Replaced Fuser in Phaser 7500 but wont reset (file upload freezes)

SandyP-Xerox replied to this thread with a question and link to a Postscript Snippet that was titled to be for a 7100 and the original poster never replied.

I have a 7750 with the exact same symptoms and two new fusers and endless routines will not clear the message and get me going.

Need to get printing in the worst way.

Question: Should this PS Snippet work on the 7750?

Any other suggestions?

Hi  CopyCat.

This is an assumption on my part but the file you are referencing that freezes is the Reset fuser snippet?

Replaced Fuser in Phaser 7500 but wont reset (file upload freezes)

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi guys,

Unfortunately I just found out how difficult a seemingly ordinary procedure as replacing the fuser on my xerox phaser 7500 can be.

Off the phone with a rep, i was furnished with a .ps file and instructions how to run the script on the printer thru its http interface "file download" however, the file upload always freezes, or continually times out

Any help on this?

Someone besides me has had to have replaced the fuser, gotten this error, ran the script and been successful.

How might this script be executed aside from the http interface?
