We are contemplating (down the line) the possibility of getting an Iridesse. I have heard good things but I have more questions than answers when it comes to preparing files for the press. My major one is this: We use PrintShop Mail for Variable Data Imaging and Printing. We take a customer's PDF file and usually convert it to an EPS then import it into PrintShop Mail where we do our imposition and attach our data. If we want to take advantage of the metallic colors (gold, silver) or clear or white - and we are not doing our variable data through something like InDesign, how can we create layers that work with the Iridesse?
