Re: Resetting CWIS admin password on 6015NI

Hey,

You could try the following. However this will reset everything. Print a config sheet before, just so you don't lose your settings:

CAUTION: Modifications to the Reset Defaults settings should be performed by the System Administrator. Incorrect settings may cause the printer to become unavailable.

  1. Print a System Settings (Configuration) report before resetting NVM to obtain current printer settings. See the Related Items below for additional information.
  2. Press the [Menu] button on the Control Panel.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until 'Admin Menu' is selected on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  4. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until 'Maintenance Mode' is selected, and then press the [OK] button.
  5. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until 'Initialize NVM' is selected, and then press the [OK] button.
  6. The Display Screen will read 'Reset Defaults Are You Sure?'. Press the [OK] button.
  7. Wait until the display screen reads 'Restart Printer to apply setting'.
  8. Press the [Menu] button to exit.
  9. Restart the printer to activate the new settings:
    1. Power OFF the printer using the power switch located on the right side of the printer, toward the front. Press the power switch to the (O) position.

    2. Wait at least 10 seconds.
    3. Press the switch to the (|) position again.

  10. Print another System Settings report and compare it to the System Settings report, printed in step 1.
  11. If necessary, re-configure the printer's network settings and any other required settings.
  12. If necessary, open CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) and enter a username and password again.

Cheers

Resetting CWIS admin password on 6015NI

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi, I was a bit stupid when I was setting up a 6015NI and put in a admin. username ans password. But I didn't realise until it was to later, that there was limits on both, so now I don't know either.

Is there someway I can reset that password and user to factory settings?
