The following instructions provide steps to print a Letter size document (portrait orientation) on Tabloid size paper in booklet format.
NOTE: This solution assumes the booklet has been created using Microsoft Word 2004; other applications may vary and other properties, including paper sizes, may be set as required. It is not necessary to arrange the document into booklet format within the application. The Booklet Creation option will format the document pages into booklet order.
From the Macintosh, open the document in Microsoft Word.
Select [Page Setup] from the File menu. The Page Setup window will be displayed.
Select [US Letter] from the Paper Size menu.
Select the [Portrait] icon from the Orientation section.
Click on [OK].
Select [Print] from the File menu. The Print window will be displayed.
Select the printer from the Printers list.
Select [Xerox Features] from the Copies & Pages menu.
Select [Booklet Creation] from the Finishing menu. The Booklet Creation window will be displayed.
Select the required options for Booklet Finishing.
Click on the [Booklet Layout] radio button.
Select [Tabloid (11x17)] from the Scale to New Paper Size menu.
Select the required options for Gutter and Creep.
Click on [OK].
Click on [Print] to print the file.
Solutions for : Booklet Option is Unavailable (Grayed Out) in the Print Driver When Trying to Print on Heavyweight (169 gsm or higher) or Glossy Paper Using Microsoft Windows or Apple Macintosh OS Solution : Heavyweight and Glossy Paper Cannot be Used With the Booklet Feature
The Booklet feature cannot be used when printing on paper heavier than 169 gm2 (80 lb glossy, 85 lb heavyweight) or when printing on glossy paper. If the paper trays are programmed for these types of paper, the Booklet option will be unavailable (grayed out) in the print driver.
Printing on heavyweight or glossy paper with the Booklet feature is not within the printer's specifications and would create unexpected output results if these types of paper were used. Therefore, the Booklet option becomes unavailable in the print driver.
