Hi,
For the SBC PWB with 1 on the 7 segment: there are 2 similar DIMM's on that board. Try to swap them to see if the problem will gone. If not you must replace the SBC PWB.

You have to read the readme to do the install via USB.
You can't just go from 100 to 101, there is at least 1 patch required before it can happen.
The tool installs the patch for you, which is its primary purpose (takes out the guesswork)
I have no idea on the sbc stuff
Hello
Thanks you so much for your replies.
Actually I don’t have access to the old software version as we have upgraded all the machines to the version 100.001.008.5702, while the last version is 101.001.019.20200. Interestingly the machines will not be upgraded to last version using USB flash (Altboot, FORCED_UPGRADE). The only way that we got success to do so is to first upgrade the machine to 100.001.008.5702 using USB flash (Altboot, FORCED_UPGRADE), and then use the connectkey technology software upgrade utility to upgrade to the last version.
I do appreciate if you kindly let me know why it is not possible to upgrade the machine to last version using USB flash while it is possible to do so from connectkey technology software upgrade utility?
Additionally, for one of our other machine we encounter another new problem which the SBC 7-sengment shows 1. So we changed the DDR2 RAM, and the problem solved, however after two days, the client called us and again the SBC board shows 1. So what do you suggest?
All the best,
Shervin

Hi, Mr Shervin,
You can call us regarding this issue to solve your problem.
Best.
There was a few machines with this behaviour and I suspect (not sure) electrical problems (not the card readers). What system software have your machines?
Hello Gabi,
Thanks for your reply but may I ask that have you had this issue more on 8035 machine compare with other machines ?
what we can do to avoid it ? for example set the machine in power saver ?
infact I want to find the reason, is it electrical problem? is it for the card readers we are using ? please let me know a hint that we work on it. because currently 5-7 of our machine have such problem which is not normal.
Thanks,
Shervin
Hi,
Yes, the solution is to replace the SBC PWB (when no.5 appear on the 7 segment and the machine is inoperable) and also be sure to update all the machines to the latest firmware.

Dear all,
Regarding the Xerox Altalink C8035, we received many complains that the SBC board of the machine needs to be replaced. We consider that the 7-segment indicator LED will show the number 5, and we performed the below action:
Please note that we face this problem regularly for Xerox C8035, while this problem occurs very rarely for Xerox 7830 which is the older version. So I do highly appreciate if you let us know the solution or at least let us know what is the reason that the SBC board runs out regularly.
Is it a bug? or we should consider some points to avoid it?
Thanks,
Shervin Zargham
