Scan to USB: Invalid USB Device

Jump to solution
Product Name: WorkCentre 3345
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I'm getting a message whenever I insert a USB device ready for "Scan to USB": Invalid/Unknown USB device

Nowhere can I find information about what constitutes a "valid USB device" for this purpose.

Furthermore, I successfully scanned to USB with a device a couple of weeks ago, so why is this going wrong now?

Hello Mike,

Have you checked to make sure USB ports are still Enabled? HERE are the steps to enable the USB Port.

Thanks,

Yes, all the USB ports were enabled. It turns out the USB device has to be formatted in FAT32, and not NTFS. (Mine were formatted in NTFS).
