Hi there, what was the resolution? We're seeing the same.... where clients are connected to Xerox MFDs with Secure Print enabled and wokring but print jobs from Citrix are deleted at the MFD.
Logon to Citrix to run published apps, auto created printers are displayed, job goes to the MFD. Client gets positive feedback that the job was submitted to the MFD. Looking at the job status on the MFD, expecting to enter the PIN to release the jobs, but the MFD indicates “the job was deleted at the user’s request”.
Looking forward to your reply - Al
Hi
Thanks for the response. I have checked that setting (Prompt for Passcode Before Releasing Job) and strangely it is set on the Xerox which doesn't do Secure print and isn't set on the printer which does.
Its not just happening to one person though. All users printing to the "broken" printer via the print server can't do Secure print.
We have done more tests ourselves and we think the issue is somewhere between the print server and the printer. The error occurs on a desktop when printing via the print server but not when you print directly via IP.
I have already raised a query with our Xerox support but as they haven't been able to help yet thought I would post on here aswell. This is quite a big problem for us and all the help/advise on things to look at are helpful.
Cheers
Gail
Hi Gail,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure that the secure print settings are set the same for both machines in the CentreWare Internet Services of the machine and make sure that the advanced settings are set the same. It could be that the person is already logged in for some reason and the machine is set to print the job if they are already logged in. Here are the steps to check the setting:
If this does not help then please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hi
Hoping someone can help. We are having an odd problem with secure print in a Citrix environment via a print server.
Our printers are setup on a Windows 2008 R2 print server and are applied via group policy preferences. The Citrix servers, that the users access, have the relevant drivers installed and the users all have roaming profiles.
In most cases secure printing works fine but we have an intermittent problem with some printers. Sometimes it works, other times it just prints out the job without holding it.
For example, we have two printers, both a WC 7556, both on the same firmware, both print using the exact same 7556 PCL driver. One prints secure, the other doesn't.
We've checked all the printer settings on the print server, both printers are setup the same, same defaults, same processor etc. We've checked the settings on the Xerox, both are the same firmware (061.121.223.04302) etc.
Any suggestions on what else we can check or whats wrong?
