Can someone please tell us what firmware version the devices working on? Y
There are two levels out there (.23400 and a test one at .35500)
As well the driver version we are using and on which OS you are trying to print from as a server and clients.
The driver is the Global print driver PS V3.2.303.16.0 the new version V3.3.347.6.0 has also been tried locally. The print server is 2008 R2 with the clients being Win 7
When secure printing from print server works, does that mean Bi-Di is enabled?
Bi-Di is on at the server level and have tested directly from there and it works.
Are we trying to use Point & Print method for the client PCs? Or all drivers are installed locally?
No drivers are loaded locally they all print through the print server. I have loaded as a test the driver locally and can reproduce the problem with Bi on/off
Timmy,
just a quick thing to check, in case, it would be this...
I am not sure if you are using the GPD or dedicated, but it could just a lack of communication between the driver and the printer.
Right-click the printer and GOTO> Printer Properties> Administration> configurations> Configuration, and select Xerox WorkCenter 7835.
Make sure you click, apply and than ok. This will close the wizard.
Hi Timmy,
can you please tell us on firmware version are your devices working on.

I supose when you say you can print from the print server, than Bi-Di is enabled. Also you are trying to use Point&Print method for the client PCs? Or all drivers are installed locally?
NOTE:
you have posted the same information in another thread that covers a printing issue with oulook memo formats. I would rather keep this thread now instead of using the other one.

Hi,
We're refreshing with new Xerox model 7835 workcentres. We're noticing that the former Xerox devices would work with secure print.
The new devices, however, will not work unless we turn off bi-directional printing. We checked and don't have any ACLs blocking ports 161 and 443.
Another thing we noticed is that we can print from the print server to the printer with secure print.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Timmy O' Rocket...
